[01] PROJECT CHALLENGE

Severe Weight & Clearance Constraints

A 110 Metric Tonne primary mill drive gearbox on a high-throughput 6,500 TPH cement grinding mill suffered severe gear mesh wear requiring complete removal, overhaul and replacement during a scheduled plant shutdown. The component was situated deep within the mill machinery house with limited overhead crane clearance and strict floor loading limits.

[02] ENGINEERING EXECUTION

Rigging Plan & Sub-Millimeter Alignment

Our engineering team engineered a dual-stage extraction system utilizing heavy hydraulic jacking tracks and load-spreading steel mats to skate the 110 MT gearbox out of the mill bay. A heavy mobile crane lifted the unit for shop overhaul, followed by re-entry, precision sole-plate levelling, dial gauge runout verification and laser shaft alignment.

[03] DELIVERED RESULT

Vibration-Free Startup Clearance

Following baseplate non-shrink grouting and torque audit, the mill rank gearbox was successfully started under no-load and full-load trial runs. Spectral vibration analysis confirmed all bearing and mesh frequencies were well within OEM acceptable limits.
